10,000 BIBLES FOR 10,000 FAMILIES
As you know from our previous letter we shared with you a project that we are did in the first weeks of December. The project is called “Bibles for Every Family”. We created a package that we give to 5,000 families in each area of both churches. The package contains:
1. An Albanian Bible provided by the Bible League, our partners in this project.
2. An evangelistic brochure that we at Illyricum Movement have created and printed. The special thing about this brochure is that we have designed it for the Albanian mentality specifically, with Albanian examples used.
3. A calendar with Bible verses with the address of our churches. This is going to be a very big blessing since Albanians in their families love to have calendars.
4. A Christmas card in which we explain the meaning of Christmas with an invitation to our church meetings.
We are dividing the zones in small sections, and for each section we are going to have a team of 5-7 people who will be responsible to distribute to every door the Christmas package. The easy part of this is that our areas where we operate are full of flats. Each one of them has about 100 families. This makes it easier in a short period of time to cover many families.
Why is this project important and unique? I often say to people that Albania NEVER had in all its history an opportunity to hear the gospel until now. It is the first time that the gospel has been shared, spread so fast, with so many people embracing it, and hungering and thirsting for it. Albanians never had Bibles before in their hands, as most come from a traditional Muslim background.
Dear friend and partner, we would greatly appreciate your prayers for this unique project. Our desire and prayer is that many will come to know the Lord. Please pray that their eyes will be open and their hearts will be ready for the Word of God.
