We have been waiting for enough stability in Egypt for a group to come and to be introduced to the Church of God in Egypt. After many years of preparation and waiting, we finally were able to host a group from the USA. Five members of the Fairview Church (Seattle, WA) and two from the Lynchwood Church of God (Portland, OR) were able to visit with our family from December 3 to 13. The group was able to serve one Saturday with us during the CCF Kids program and help lead worship one Sunday for the Cairo Christian Fellowship (CCF) service. They had opportunities to witness our service to the international community around Maadi. During one of our outings, we visited with CCF members who serve a local charity that supports recycling and education in a poorer Cairo community. We also took a trip to visit Children of Promise (COP) programs and other ministries of the national Church of God congregations in Shoubra and Alexandria.
✴Pray for the Church of God in Egypt and Lebanon to begin the new year with faith, vision, and unity within their countries and the region.
✴Praise God for four wonderful years of ministry and life in Cairo, and pray for our continued wisdom and service as we begin our fifth year on January 7.
✴Pray for Ken as he participates in three important regional meetings in the cities of Athens, Frankfurt, and Birkenhead, January 7-15; pray for traveling safety, wisdom and unity with all those participating.
✴Pray for the CCF Kids program as they restart weekly meetings in January.
✴Pray for Ken as he teaches pastors and leaders in Upper Egypt, January 30 to February 2.
