September & October 2016: Albania

September and October have been very interesting months and we as a family can’t wait to share with you the many things that God has done to glorify Jesus in Albania by growing his church both in maturity and in numbers. Our vocabulary is very weak to express to you the complete picture of his working hand during these two months. Our words would not be enough to describe it even in our own language. Please forgive us for not being able to give you the complete picture of his hand upon his church in Albania. So mighty is his saving and working power that mere words are not worthy to describe it.

Eklesia Church
As you may know our vision is to plant churches, by going into an area where there is no church, evangelizing people with the Gospel, and then gathering the elect to disciple and raise up leaders. When the leaders are ready to take full responsibility we move to another church plant by leaving them to lead their local church. The moment is knocking at the door of Eklesia Church which was planted in 2013, to enter the process of becoming an independent local church from our ministry. It may take a little bit more time until officially being announced, but just like a parent can feel the moment when the child is becoming adult and ready to go, so are we feeling this period of time. Seeing Eklesia Church take great steps toward maturity, we have mixed feelings: on the one hand, great joy over how God has built his church, and on the other, some sadness, realizing how fast time goes.
In light of this we are very happy to introduce to you our two new minister: Gentjan Pitarka and Sara Dungaj.
Gentjan is a man on his late 20s married to Renalda and they have one daughter Gerinda, a year old. Genti (as we all call him) is full of the Spirit, very humble and teachable. The work of the Lord in his life and his family is so evident. Genti is working now full time with Eklesia Church as a prospective pastor for the very near future. Currently, I (Edi) am very committed to train him intensively in the coming months so that he will be ready to lead Eklesia Church.
Sara Dungaj is a young godly lady who is very committed to the word of God and called by God to serve in ministry. She is a great help to Bona and the ladies, girls and children of Eklesia Church where she will minister.
This is a historic moment for Eklesia, since we have never had someone serve full time there who came from within. A new chapter of history is beginning for this church plant by the grace of God.

Disciples Church
Disciples Church has already existed for two years and was planted in an area where there was no church. From the beginning we had great support in all aspects from Woodridge Church in Wisconsin, USA.  In the last two months, Disciples church has held two weddings and three baptisms. All these young families generate much hope and future growth for the church. I was so privileged to officiate the wedding of my dear and beloved coworker,Erlind, who is the pastor of Disciple Church, in his marriage to Klodiana. Disciples Church is another God story of which we have the privilege of being a part.

Please continue to pray for Disciples Church that it will grow in number and maturity of Christ.

Sun Hill Bible Church
Sun Hill Bible church has been in existence now for over a year and only God can take the credit for the growth that this church has experienced. We feel so blessed that there are two missionary couples together with their families from the USA who are coming to help the leaders of Sun Hill Bible Church in establishing this church and discipling the new believers. This is a great help for Saimir and Kela, since they will be adding more forces to the spreading of the gospel in their area. Another great way that God is working is through the ministry of women that is growing very fast. These women came out of the contact with children and now they are impacting their husbands with the gospel of Christ.

Please continue to pray for Sun Hill Bible Church, that the Lord will grow this church for His honor and glory.

Family Life
God has been so good to our family. Bona and I are deeply thankful for everything God has blessed us with. We want also to share with you that during these last months Bona’s health has greatly stabilized; the kidney examinations have showed this, and Bona has been feeling energetic and good. We credit God with everything he has done. So thankful that He has allowed her to experience the joy of being healthy. I (Edi) am continuing my master studies online in theology and I have been very busy between church work and study. Noel and Sion began school in September. Noel is 10 years old and Sion is 7 years old. They grow very fast, and we as parents are so thankful to the Lord for them.  Please thank the Lord for Bona's health and continue to pray for her.  Please pray for Edi, that God will give him the wisdom and strength the serve the churches and study well.  Please pray for Noel and Sion that their hearts will be filled with God’s word.
