Ken and Keli have had a busy last few weeks as they have rarely been in the same place. Ken was in Lebanon working with local Churches of God as well as "Ana Terzo" (Arabic for I am Third). He shared this story: True to their name, the “Terzos" (as they like to call themselves) have been actively trying to find a way to further serve. They learned of children at a local orphanage who were rescued from the streets, whether due to homelessness, abandonment or even some in prostitution. In March, they asked for a list of names, and then individually bought age-appropriate items to fill shoeboxes; they prayed for their children as they prepared each “Terzo Box” and delivered them personally. They were so moved, they immediately began discussing ideas for “Terzo Truck,” an idea through which they hope to deliver beds or necessary items for the orphanage.
Young people changing the world—you got to love it!
Prayer Requests:
Praise for the successful renewal of our annual residency and ministry visa; and for a three year car registration!
Pray for Amy Melki, daughter of Camille and Hoda (founders of Heart for Lebanon); Amy suffered a bout of Bell’s Palsy this week, paralyzing one side of her face, and leaving her unable to close one eye. Treatments are ongoing and optimistic, but this is difficult for a high school senior at this time of the school year.
Pray for our Easter ministry opportunities.
Pray for continued peace and stability in the region: Egypt and Lebanon are preparing for presidential elections, each of which carry the potential of unrest. Lebanon’s infrastructure is strained by ever-increasing Syrian refugees, while Egypt’s economic conditions will continue to make some desperate as the temperatures begin to rise here.
