Greetings to everyone,
We want you to know that Caroline and I will be traveling to Pakistan on the 11th of November to meet with the leaders of a group of churches there (about 160 legally registered churches). They, and the Swedish missionaries who started this work, are reaching out to the Church of God, asking us to help them with overseeing the churches, the Bible School and the child sponsorship program. This ministry would not be evangelistic in nature, but more a work of strengthening and encouraging these churches that operate in such a heavily oppressive environment. We will be traveling with a missionary from Sweden.
Please pray for us as we travel. We ask prayer for discernment in our discussions, wisdom to listen well and clarity to understand just what kind of help they need and how we could realistically provide it.
We will be in Pakistan for five days, meeting with their senior leaders, touring their Bible School, examining their child sponsorship program and meeting the pastors.
Thank you for praying for all of our trips as they are important, but this one carries some new aspects for us and for all involved.
