United Kingdom: Landford's May Update

BIrkenhead Library: Source The Liverpool Echo

It is truly a blessing to meet so many churches and individuals that are exciting about sharing the Message of Jesus with people from around the world. We have recently been to Ohio, Florida, Tennessee, and more. In April Patrick Nachtigall, Regional Coordinator for Europe and the Middle East, and Kelley Philips, XZ Berlin and Three-Worlds team member, led a seminar at the Birkenhead Church of God on reaching youth in post-Christendom contexts. During the seminar the congregation was challenged to meet their neighbors where they are and build intentional relationships. Our hope is that by building these intentional relationships and by living out the Gospel, outside of the church walls, some can break through the vicious cycles of dependency that surround Birkenhead.

There powerful things happening in our region that need constant prayer; expanding youth networks, church plants, and the introduction of new team members. There are continued connections being built between the Russian, German and Bulgarian youth. New connections continue to grow between the Lebanese and Egyptian young adults in deep and meaningful ways. When we return we will be focusing on discipleship and connecting Birkenhead young adults to opportunities that will help develop them spiritually.

We are pleased to announce that our Living Link pledges are currently at 90%! It is exciting to imagine that in a few months we will be packing up our belongings and boarding a plane to a place where we feel God has called us. We are trusting that as we continue to build connections the remaining pledges will come in. It is a great opportunity for those who can't give now but would like to in the future.

Please continue to pray with us as we begin our transition. Located on the newsletter is an area dedicated to prayer requests and moments of rejoicing. As you look over those please include Work Visa paperwork to your prayer list. Since we have lived in England before we are familiar with the process, however, the type of visa that is required will take more documentation.
