Up and at it by 9am to meet our goal of pouring a cement floor and footings for metal posts at one site and digging foundation forms, and pouring footings for metal supports at 2nd site. Goal for tomorrow is to set all support posts at both sites and finish pouring the floor at site two. The team worked hard, long hours and did meet today's goals.
We went on home visits and saw and heard the personal devastating stories of the earthquake's destruction. Families are so hopeful and resilient as we share opportunities to rebuild their homes through the volunteer mission program. It leads to opportunities to present the salvation plan through Jesus.
At the end of today we're all exhausted, but fulfilled to be able to minister to both physical and spiritual needs of these wonderful families. It is very moving to watch the faces of family members as they see the progress of their new homes being constructed.
