April 3 - Our first full day of being in Mexico, as we realized each moment, things are not at all like they are at home. God continues to show us how opposite his world is and this was a day of opposites. Loving the three hour church service where we could not understand a thing; but such love and passion. No overheads screens to help with singing. No idea what was said but oh so love for the Father, such love from the people. No words needed. We have said we can do hard things, yes that was hard but not like we thought. "Hard things" are beginning to mean the opposite. Kurtis still not feeling well but he is doing the hard thing and experiencing the blessing of pushing through. Ate a great meal made just for us of fish tacos and tamales. Simple and so much fun to really get a chance to look around and process these changes. We are so blessed in Washington in so many opposite and obvious ways. We did get a chance to bump our way down to the beach.. The roads here are all dirty and nasty. Beaches like home are windy and well let's just say Washington beaches are pretty nice comparatively. A walk to town to eat at a unique place, Papa Ruben's El Pollo Loco. Cooking a chicken outside. Many children trying to sell us bracelets for their money. Well I'm sure God is preparing us for hard things today in a new way. He is faithful and again I'm sure hard things will be good. Our verse this week is from first Thessalonians 1:3 "We remember before our God and Father our work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and our endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ"
